Maureen Wyse retired recently from Camilla House after working there for a total of 20 years. Maureen has been there since the care home was first opened by the previous owners. She helped with the initial cleaning prior to the opening date so Maureen can rightly claim to have been there from the start.

The rest of the staff jokingly presented Maureen with a certificate for Completion of Laundry Assistant Training given her 20 years in the job. She received a silver and amber necklace, flowers and a cake from her friends and colleagues at Camilla House.

The staff had a night out at the Kiwi Tavern, the village pub, to wish Maureen all the best in her retirement. She plans to do a spot of decorating at home and spend more time in her garden now that she will have more spare time on her hands.
