The recent sunny weather has made everyone at Camilla think of past days spent at the beach. The staff decided to bring these memories to life and organised a "beach party" for the residents. Staff uniforms were replaced by summer outfits and the beach belles are pictured here, outside the home.
The walls of the main lounge were decorated with buckets and spades, palm trees and pineapples, all made by the staff with some help from the residents. Lunch was hot dogs and knickerbocker glories and old fashioned sweeties and crisps were enjoyed in the afternoon during the concert. Susan Mirrie continued the summer theme as she entertained the residents with songs from Doris Day, Abba and The Beatles amongst others which are always favourites with the residents.
